Ceramic rods retaining odor?

Folks, I'm thinking if getting a ceramic rod to touch up my fillet knives. In general, does ceramic rods have a tendency to retain odor? Thank you, folks.

No, and you can always put them in the dishwasher if they do get funky.

Yes they do....but you should be fine just as long as you give it a good scrub with soapy water every once in a while.
