with how quickly it replaced my beloved D2 Para in my pocket
This thing is Da Bomb!!! I've been enamored with my D2 from the day I got her and carry it regularly, much to the chagrin of my other Spydies but even after a long and pleasant relationship of several years it took all of 10 seconds out of the box for this new gal to steal my heart.
This knife is the perfect Para, IMHO. Solid, smooth, centered, sharp as all get out. It feels better in my hand in both the texture of the scales and the overall shape than my D2. The blade is longer and of course S90v. Love the lower ride clip not to mention the color, never did care for the black clip on my D2. The extra jimping on top is nice as is the larger lanyard hole and the ability to reposition the clip. Also like the fact that the lock is closer to the blade, a position I find easier to manipulate than on the D2.
I knew the Para 2 would be an improvement and as much as I wanted one I'm glad I held out for this sprint run. Thanks to Sal and the folks at Spyderco for another great blade!
