CF para2 question

I recently bought a CF para2 and love it, but when I switched the clip to tip up the blade became very difficult to close. With the tip down you can hold the knife upright and pull the lock and it falls shut. I adjusted the pivot and that didn't do anything at all. I didn't have this happen with my regular p2.

I didn't have that issue with my S30V Para2. Maybe try to loosen the screw by the lock and see what that does. I had loose screws on mine and the blade was hard to move after I tightened the ones by the lock.

That's a strange problem. Have you contacted the CS department? I'm curious to know what could cause something like that.

Have you tried removing the clip all together? See if it's still sticking with the clip removed.

I know I had to re-lube my pivot already. It was starting to stick after I opened it about 500 times already.:D I love this knife.

I used Sentry Solutions Hi-Slip grease and it's buttery smooth.

My guess is that having the clip by the pivot relieves pressure on the pivot area. It tightens as soon as the clip is removed. I guess I'll email them.

I have the CF para2 as the tip up set up and i didn't have this problem. i just took it out of my pocket and it fell right down. I'm sure CS will have suggestions. It's such a great knife.

I agree, the Para2 in general is my favorite knife right now. I'm just a lot more likely to carry and use it if I can set it up the way I like. I just made it extremely sharp and hate to send it in, but I'm pretty sure that's what they'll tell me to do. I've sent an email to CS, so I'll find out tomorrow. One of the kids ran off with my torx driver so I cant adjust the screws.

Yay, both mine are gonna be here tomorrow. I'm so glad there's that special place on the internet where sprint runs and hard-to-find knives go to be sold to crazy knife freaks like me who never seem to have the money when the knives are released but will always spend more to get them later for inflated prices and longer shipping times.

I have done that on more than one occasion! It always kinda hurts at first, and you always double think the purchase in the morning, but after that/when you get the knife in hand its just dandy!

I loosened the stop pin screw a hair and the blade loosened up. Now it's perfect!
