CF vs. DC finish which is more rust resistant?

I am thinking it would depend on the CF job. I am thinking the CF on my TGLB would be better than DC as it is a very slick finish.
As for treating I polish with flitz then do a coat of flitz wax. I have never had any rust issues not even on A2 Bark River blades.
I have also heated a blade or two with a hair dryer and applied Miltec-1,had no rust or patina issues with that either. Not sure how food safe the Miltec-1 is. Most of the time I do not worry about food safe lubes as they are wiped off before I cut food with them but the Miltec-1 does bond into the steel and is released from the steel as it heats up.

Thanks that's very helpful.

I would think the doublecut is less likely to rust because there is less pits on the surface of the steel and more even.

While I can agree, Comp finish would be easier to clean without worrying about messing up the finish. Most metal cleaners will shiny up that DC while CF is kinda like "poor man's" satin if ya know what I mean. :)

Perhaps Garth will stop by with a more knowledgeable answer. :)
