I've come accross CFK Cutlery [DO not link to dealers that do not support Bladeforums].
The blades are made of D2 steel. Full tang blades. I've heard good and bad about D2 steel.
Do any of you have any experience with these brands? Do you think they could stand up to occasional heavy bushcraft/outdoor use?
Trying to get various sizes of fixed blade knives appropriate for everyday carry and/or play and bushcraft. Blade sizes I'd like are about 3, 4, and 5 inches in length. 5.5" is max legal length here in Texas. I try to buy only full tang. I have ESEE Izula 2 and Ontario RAT 5 with aftermarket scales and sheath that are my favorite two knives. I try to keep knife prices under $100, although the RAT ended up costing me $210 with the add ons.
Suggestions?
Thanks for your time and opinions.
