Well, I intended to post photos but only managed a link ! Sorry , but I'm computer challenged .

Purchased this karam on ebay auction for $36 plus shipping $6.46 . Shipped fast with very good tracking via USPS .

I received a karam that exactly matched the ebay photos and description . It was well packaged . The knife was in bubble wrap separate from the sheath .

You can view my photos thru the above link . Other karams for comparison . Some may be clones .

Overall , I'm impressed with the sturdiness and value of this karam . The grinding of the lower edge near the grip is rough but I believe the description and photos on ebay warned of that . The sheath is fairly heavy duty .

I do have some design issues with this karam but I knew that very well before ordering-so hard to fault the maker .

Just as an aside: I'm just a collector / user / end consumer of knives and have no special interest in where or who makes or sells the product -only the end resulting cost vs performance as received by me .

Yup sure maybe- or chi com or Martian ? And that matters exactly WHY ?

I remember when Jap = junk and now it's the bee's knees !

Some of my finest knives are from Taichung Taiwan and so what does that mean ?

Taiwan is a first world nation. Pakistan is a third world nation where "knives" are crudely made on dirt floors out of whatever metal they find laying around.

Either you are simply toying with me or you suffer from some unfortunate perceptual deficiency .

Pakistan managed to construct nuclear weapons , so it's possible they might achieve making a decent knife .

I doubt anyone is really this willfully ignorant, so I have to assume you are just trolling.

Please see above my pathetic mods . Understand that this mainly for fun ! One reason I like cheap blades is that I can use and abuse them as I see fit -guilt free .

CFK iPak "Eagle Claw" has only been swaddled in rectangular silicone self-fusing tape , mainly to improve the grip traction and for a little padding . It also fattened up the grip such that my precious pinky little finger was less endangered .In addition, I can now use a higher grip extending up over the k-hole area . I planned to jab this k-bit full force into multi-layered heavy cardboard , thick plastic bottles and soft or punky dead standing tree trunks etc .

As received , I just didn't feel very secure in the grip for full out martial practice . I don't like to ever put my finger into the k-hole enough to be trapped (that's what she said).
Note that this is a double edged k-bit and a fixed blade so some of what I practice involves techniques that tend to slam the small finger directly onto the longer blade . There's no real choil or guard to prevent forward motion . The silicone tape really helps but a more ergo design or structural mod would be better .

Only other awkwardness is with the spike /hooks at the top base of the blade . They might be useful in same hooking /trapping techniques but they also tend to hang-up in the sheath , impeding the draw and scraping out bits of the softer inner leather of the sheath . The sheath needs a slick , tough surface for the spikes to slide over or some other mod/redesign . These spike/hooks also tend to get hung up in deep , to the hilt shanking . They tear hell out of everything -which can be good or bad , I guess .

So far , my practice has not revealed any structural failure and it's certainly done the job on my relatively soft target materials . I don't necessarily require a SD knife to pass the harshest tests . Hide or skin , muscle and connective tissue are all fairly soft . Even most bone is not very hard compared to the real hardwoods . Armor is not usually an issue in SD .

I still think it's a good value for the money and the design shortcomings were pretty obvious from the ad photos . Probably not going to become my new EDC anytime soon but I'm having a blast playing around .

Oh -almost forgot the jewel and pride of my collection : the "Zombie War" k-bit , which I double edged and wrapped and now is simply awesome with it's fancy paddle holster and all for $7 !

If I was to have the sad misfortune as to be forced to choose one of my current bargain basement k-bits for SD it would probably be the "honshu " which I have inexpertly ground to a double edge .

Strange as it might sound, I would choose the DE'd Honshu or even the CFK iPak Eagle Claw over ANY folding k-bit , just because I couldn't use about half the best techniques I've learned . And actually , under the stress of SD , I might use a move that would go against the lock . I just don't trust any folder that way .

Honshu shoulder harness sheath as supplied is just sad but maybe I can mod it somehow ?

Seems like you are the troll and a pseudo knife intellectual as well. Would I buy this karambit, no. However, I do support DocJD in his open and honest evaluation.

Why , thank you kindly Murindo - that's more the higher level response I've been hoping to receive .

you are not making any sense. Please read the thread. Or maybe you know nothing about pakistani knives and how they are made as well?

Oh, lookie here- there's more "RAT" feces !

Repeating the same ol' crap over and over doesn't make it any truer .

repeating facts doesn't make them more true, that's correct.

What "facts" , Rat Fink ? I've yet to see anything from you or your posse remotely resembling a fact or any kind of useful information what-so-ever .

"Jason" may see you as "terrorists" and a threat to his business , but to me you're just ill-mannered, prejudiced and annoying yappy dogs .

I honestly don't know what the hay you're trying to say. Maybe you should just spell it out for the less sophisticated reader.

Here you go...from one of my earlier posts on another thread http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1267880-CFK-Knife-update-and-company-history/page16

But they so love this forum...updated post of mine from another thread regarding eBay feedback of CFK. First the neutral:
