Who has both? I would like to see pics of these two together, and your thoughts on how the two compare.

Here you go... I took these just for your viewing pleasure. The HHFSH is my favorite Busse... it "feels" lighter than the nmsfno, but I havent weighed the two. I havent used my nmsfno, as Busse sent me the wrong color combo and Im sending it back tomorrow for the correct color combo, should be a beast of a compact chopper. For those that dont already have a FSH, the nmsfno should fill that niche nicely for you, but ,IMO, nothing beats the HHFSH.:D I want to do a head to head chop off and see which one prevails, if the nmsfno wins it would definately convince me that I need more than one.

I was very curious about this comparison. I should have both soon. But, I will have the regular FSH.

I used to have a HHFSH. My "Biggest" regretful INFI loss. (sorry for regrets, but at least I'm honest.....)

..... anyone else?

Yep, I got my HH for $550 on the secondary market, my first and still favorite knife. If I was around to order them directly I would have gotten the FSHLE as well.

Bullet proof armor. :D

+1... I wish I was around when they were offered direct... wouldve bought several. Id cover myself in them like body armor.:D:eek::foot:

i'm certain the regular fsh i owned had a slightly more forward balance. i'm not sure about whether or not it was heavier, but i think the standard fsh and nmsfno would still be very close in a chopping match, just as long as the fsh edge was thinned down quite a bit
i like the sf handle a lot better than the fusion handle, so i prefer the nmsfno

I have a HHFSH with mags. and a NMSFNO and both of them balance in the same place about 1/4" in front of the talon hole.
as for weight HH is noticeably heavier, I will get my scale out tomorrow and check by how much.

At first I wasn't sure if I was crazy about the long blade compared to the original SFNO but the more I look at these the more I like the proportions.

The extra inch may make this a better "one-knife" solution over the original SFNO. I'll have to wait and see. :p

The NMSFNO was tempting for me, but I'm going to save my money and wait patiently for a CGFSH or HHFSH.

I would weight the NMSFNO if I had one. I would guess that the NMSFNO will be pretty close to the FSH. It surely won't beat it but will probably bark at its heals in terms of raw chopping performance. I prefer the thinner standard FSH or HHFSH myself. My full convexed HHFSH is one of the few knives that would rival my FABM if I can only have one Busse.

I prefer the Fusion handles over the SF handles for a hardcore chopper. I feel that the rear talon hole protrusion gives it that extra bit of security in the hand during aggressive chopping.

Did you miss that HH that just went on the Exchange? I'm kicking myself now for not giving in to my first instinct to "take it". The sheath alone would cost over $100 to reproduce. I can only hope to find a bargain like again.

Both are sweet but I gotta agree with Ban here. That curve at the end of the FSH handle lets me choke way back on it for serious chopping.

I've got to go with Zephy5 on one major area of difference. when your really doing some serious chopping and the knife's momemtum is going forward in your hand, that back down curve on the FSH makes the difference between night and day. it gives you a sure grip and the knife doesn't have to be continually readjusted in your hand. I don't have my NMSFNO in yet, but just comparing the FSH to my normal SFNO, the grip on the FSH is much better designed for serious limb chopping. And Yes, my HHFSH is one of my favorite FShs...I made a spec ops large sheath to fit it, and is a nice weight on your side/ harness. I think the old 7" saber grind would have been the ticket, but that is water under the bridge now.. the new one is nice. can't wait to get mine in.

unless you have small hands . . . . the constant readjustment is what i hated most about the fusion handle (for me). had to hold it as far up as i could for max comfort, but the back end was too narrow and even with mags my hand kept slipping back until the largest part of the handle was between my thumb and index finger.

though i do have some slippage on the mag sf handles, the wider back end and general shape of handle helps a lot with the grip.

maybe i'm just weird, like how i get the most secure grip with the standard sf handle . . . .

It sounds like you are trying to hold the more forward end of the fusion handles. That grip is ok for more detailed work that requires finer control. Try holding the rear smaller portion of the handle. During vigorous chopping your hand will naturally slide back towards the rear talon hole and lock the blade securely in place because of the swell and curve at the end of the handle. The Fusion Handles will also have less pinkie bite than the SH and E-handles while retaining the same grip security because of the more gradual radius transition to the rear talon hole.
