Any thoughts of the chance of this happening?

The more I see this blade the more my need for one grows. The size and shape of the blade are close to the ASH1 but the handles are way different. OAL is close but again the handles are causing me to think that the ASH1 will be close but the SFNO may have it beat. Don't get me wrong, an ASH1 LE will be in my future but I'm thinking I'd rather have a CG Outlaw over a CG ASH1.

Input from those who have used both would be nice.....

had a cgsfno, really the only one id go the extra mile to get back.

just seemed like it had all the bases covered.

I may be one of the few folks here who is not ga-ga over the ASH-1. I got one of the SEs at Blade, but never really cottoned to it, so it was traded away. I do like the SFNO much more, but find that the sharp point on the pommel jabs my palm when I shift my grip to the rear for better chopping. That will be easy to fix on a belt sander.

I really don't know if I can wait two weeks...

On getting my latest Busse (satin/G10 AD) I think I have nearly enough now. Meaning that of the designs currently available, and affordable to me, I have what I can reasonably get and use (I only buy them to use, not for the safe). Plus I've spent up until at least Christmas 2008 since I discovered Busses!

The one, glaring hole in my set is the CG SFNO. I would go into debt for one (in fact, probably two). I've also decided not to go for the ASH1, nice as it looks, as I would rather have an SFNO.

I've almost stopped buying other makes completely as well, mainly to save money for Busses when/if something new (or SFNO-ish) that I want comes out.

You guys are getting my hopes up with all this CGSFNO talk. I *really* hope it happens! A two-week wait would probably be about right though, at least it would give me chance to save up for it first!

I still don't see it. I found the "mags" on my giraffe-bone ASH1 are far more comfortable than the mags I had on my not-now-mine Hell Razor. The thins are too thin on the SF mags.

Blade-shape is very similar. Length goes to the SFNO, but at that point, I'm almost at FSH size. Prefer a full-height vs. saber. I keep looking at what you guys want, and keep fondling my ASH1. I'll stick with that.

No disrespect meant to Jerry or anyone who likes the ASH-1. It's just not my cup 'o' tea. I'm not a fan of the near spear shaped blade, but I do love the handle, especially the fatty, smooth hand shaped slabs. That being said, the CGSFNO is twice the knife. It's handle is way more comfortable in muliple grips and with extended use. It is a much better chopper with it's forward weight and slices every bit as good as the ASH-1. They both have good working blade tips , but I prefer a point backed by more spine rise. The pommel has more uses for me on the CGSFNO as well. Although the CGSFNO is closer to the FSH length, it is nowhere near the FBM size. I have found that my CGSFNO and my BATAC are the perfect combination for me in the woods. A BAIII might compliment better in this setup, but I'm happy with this combo. My ST Ripper will always be my baby, and stays on my Kifaru Scout as the camp knife. The CGSFNO is the ultimate user though. If I had the means, I would gladly pay the aftermarket prices being asked for it, and this is the ONLY blade I can say that about.

You guys are sure warming me up to the idea of a SFNO, in particular the favorable comparisons to my beloved Hell Razor! :)

A girl needs a knife...

I really would prefer the ASH-1 to have a slip point. I may have to order a semi-custom when the time comes.

My knife architecture-fu isn't strong enough, I guess. What is a slip-point?

I actually found a reference to a slip-point blade on a Leatherman google search while the other leatherman blades were listed as clip-point - unfortunately, no pics so I'm still confused. :D

Wait... I think I found it. Blades that look like a clip-point but are almost convexed/rounded along the clip?? :D Maybe??

It was a Freudian slip (ha ha). I meant CLIP point.
