I'm trying to decide between the two. Currently have a couple TGLBs and a BWM as well as a 1311

I really like the looks of the Fusion handles but the SHBM is a little bigger and a little cheaper. Lighter chopping duties can be handled by the others so this will be for the hardest of work. Thoughts?

Unless you have an aversion to the length, I would get an ASHBM or NMFBM.
If you want to try the fusion handle, might as well get the extra length of the NMFBM, if you are going to get both, get the ASHBM now and a fusion model later if you still want one. You might even be able to pick up a fusion model at factory price from a Ganzaa since they are still showing up pretty regularly.

Well from lennoxs video..the ashbm out chops the nmfshle ..52 chops for the ashbm and 77 for the nmfshle ....with the ashbm time being about 10 seconds shorter.

Think I will order the ASHBM. Now I just need to sell something. I was going to sell the BWM, but refer to my other thread as to why that won't be happening. Guess I can let one out of my two TGLBs go.

You need to consider that he chopped through the log with the ASHBM right before the NMFSHLE. Simple math doesn't account for fatigue.

Please do not fail to also consider that our hog brother has infinite strength due to ultimate bacon nutrientaion [with a side of beer and/or booze]. Therefore, all of your doubts are rendered vegan. It's logic.

:D

I would love to have a NMFBM, but the price is significantly higher than the other two.

How sure are you about that? When there are blanks available, NMFBMs are not terribly much more expensive when ordered through the custom shop than they were at original release.

I did not know that, I'm just going by what I see on the PX. How would I go about getting a quote on one?

I thought the HOGFSH was the most versatile and good looking knife I knew, until the NMFSH was released, ...that is a truly versatile knife, without the limitations of the HOGFSH and is nearly perfect for any job (field work-wise), but I finally got my NMFBM... And that Sir, is the most perfect knife I have ever held. (too bad I got miself a satin, I haven´t been able to bring miself to use)

Take the NMFBM aside...go for the NMFSH, you´ll see, it is a new standard.

good luck.
