I finally got the time to try making a D guard for my FBM. Using KnifeAddictAK's tutorial, here is the results. I really appreciate the tutorial KAAK. After I do two or three more, they should be a little more even and consistent. Thanks!

Damn. That looks fantastic. Mine didn't come out nearly that well.
If I was a little more patient, I would take it apart and try again (again).
KAAK's tutorial is great! I never could have done it without that!

Great D-guard and sweet FBM. KAAK's tutorial is perfect. I was able to nail the guard on the first try because of it. It looks much more difficult than it actually is. Give it a spin everyone.

That is exactly what I did too! I realized that I was trying to tighten the braid too much and it was quite uneven. I tried to keep the tension a bit loose and kept pulling the three base lines tight and pushing the braid down tight and it just went smooth as silk. Thanks To KAAK's tut., I am no longer intimidated by the Dguard:thumbup:

WOW!!! That is way better than anyones I've done :o

Awesome job and thanks for the comments guys :D I do appreciate it and glad the tutorial works

This is one that my buddy showed me and he's the one that taught me the tutorial. IIRC, he mentioned having to use pliers
