I dunno? Should I stop? I kinda like the look, but a small part of me wants to go further....ya know like maybe a DC or attempt a full satin/polish. Anyhow, here's how she's looking currently. Enjoy!:D

I think you've hit the sweet spot the way it is now. I bet the hardest part is figuring out wen to say "I'm done!".

I'm not a fan of stripped / hand satin finishes. I say keep it as is!

I'll warn you that doing a full satin will be a great challenge due to the depth of the milling marks in the corrugations and main bevel. Maybe I just got a really rough one though. I do prefer the look of the bare steel even unfinished to the coating though.

I would really, really like to see it double cut. After seeing those CS Hell Razors from the razor ganza, the corrugated bevels just beg to be bead blasted.

I just Love the mag snakes!!! My first thought was 'how in hades did he get those???' - then I looked more closely. Really nice work!

I think it's about perfect as it is. I would certainly be proud of it. The blade finish goes with the grips.

How about this though...

Snake Mags... WOW!! Nice job on the spine too!

Since your Uncle MM came out so nice, I would go with the DC finish if you have the time. That would be sweet!!

Looks great...love polished spines. Like also how you pulled off the old scales and put extra filling underneath. I would leave it as is until you use it and then strip it.

First Snake mags I have ever seen:eek: edit- looks like you put a piece of black micarta under them??? Great job!

Anymore out there that anyone know's about ?

The polished spine looks great:thumbup:
Looks great as is, but a Satin finish would look awesome.

The Big Snake with a spine of INFI  looks awesome

Great job, I'd beat the coating of and then do a DC or SP finish, it'd be kinda like having two different knives in the long run.:D

Thanks for sharing
Helle

Wow! Those new "mags" really dress up that Mistress! What a fabulous piece of work!! I think I like The Big Snake as she is!

It looks great the way it is.

I like the contrast between the coating and the spine. If it was mine, I'd probably think about polishing the swedge, so you can see it from the side. I don't know how easy it would be to keep the line straight where the corrugated bevels meet the swedge, though. Just a thought.

Is that the Big Snake?
Big Snake....hey, I like that!:D

Nice work with those Micarta liners, Soltice.
I'd like to see an "in hand" photo. :)
My Big Snake in hand? Errrrr...maybe not!;):p

How about this though...

Hey! That ain't bad!!!

Thanks for the compliments everyone. I think I'm going to stop now and use it for awhile and see what happens. This mistress is made to be used!

Awesome! I'd be happy with it as is! I'd let it sit sink in like this for awhile. There are always other projects to keep me busy and I could come back and decide whether to do more to it then.
