Hey guys, right... just managed to get hold of someone's digital camera who wasn't using it, and who'd let me use it in the vicinity of the toughest blade material on this planet.
So, bit dull outside, so I decided to brighten the day up by beating some wood, bit of prying and some rope cutting and chopping...
Also, some of the pics are just nice.... so thats why there are some standard shots here and there, not that you care anyways
Apologies as my foot and shoe obviously wanted to get a claim to fame as well in 4 or so shots, which kinda killed some of the pics in my mind, but you'll get the picture....
Right, lets start....
My first piece of INFI ever, its my baby (I have a real baby, but didn't want to beat her into some wood
), and this is it plunged nearly an inch into a hard block of seasoned wood.... its a bit wet, but is till a tough lump of wood non the less... it easily weighs over 10kg......... I could have put more effort into the stab, but believe me when I say that this was FIRMLY lodged in its place...

This second picture shows the result after forcably removing it sideways against the side of the blade, and not a single hint of movement in the blade, not a bend anywhere... this required a fair bit of force, with me holding the block firm with the other hand, and supporting with my leg as well.... the wood got chewed to bits.... (nice INFI... I said I'd feed you)

OK, this 3rd picture is a side on shot after swinging at the block of wood with all my strength.... if I had missed and hit my leg, I'd be one legged without a shadow of a doubt... this was zombie head chopping power... my face as I was mid swing would have been a sight to see... lol

I litterally had NO chance of prying this one out sideways, as you can see its well and truely chompted its way in... so had to remove with a rocking motion and even then I had to support the block of wood... INFI was hungry and DIDN'T want to let go....
Here is another swing on the edge of the block... quite nice me thinks...

OK, right... I dug up some rope, nice nylon climbing rope, almost 1.5cm thick.... I initially just cut a few pieces with the blade and rope in hand... with medium to strong force, I cut through this with less that 2" of blade... and I probably didn't get the best grip in the world either... just shows that INFI eats all sorts easily
This pic is of a light to medium chop on the block, severing the rope with such ease, that I couldn't even feel the bite on the rope - you know when you chop sometimes, you feel displacement or slight resistance???? Well, I know its only 1.5cm of nylon rope, but hey... I thought it was sweet...

Part one over, please see part 2!
