Did the Combat Grade Fusion Battle Mistress first get produced without the bevels?

Nope! All CGFBM had those CBT! Only the later FFBM did not have them. But those are Fatties with slightly different overall profile more similar to the FBMLE and not the original CGFBM.

Yeah...what the sand band master said!!!:D

OOH, this means I can stop specifying CGFBM with the corrugate bevel technology and just say CGFBM......I thought there were separate models. I can stop showing my ignorance........damn, that is not going to happen.

Ya he told me before but I was hoping because I was just checking out The Busse Collector and the pic for the CGFBM looks flat.

I should really just listen to the master

Yep only the CGFBM had the CBTs. All other variations of FBMs do not have them. This includes FBMLE, FFBM, FBMSE, Proto FBM, Proto FBM Bowie, and other Custom Shop FBMs.

There is also the 2007 SE which is thicker than the CG but thinner than a fatty. They were sabre ground with a double cut finish, no cbt.

It's the closest thing to an FBMCG without CBT but not very many were made.

Hopefully I'll get to try one out some time because mine is a safe queen.

What's the FBMSE look like?

Even if the CGFBM did not have the CBTs... it would still not fill what you are looking to do because the height of the blade is still narrower than a FFBM. ;)

Ban it's all rocket science to me

height of the blade HH or FSH, standard slabs or mag handles

Very complicated stuff

Thank you all for the input

The FFFBM is wider than the CGFBM??

I don't think that the wideness is wider just the fatness is wider. What?

Yes, other than being thicker the FFBM is slightly wider/taller than the CGFBM. However, you want to call it. Put the FFBM over the top of the CGFBM and it will cover the whole outline of the CGFBM. This is due to the difference in spine shape....especially towards the scallops near the handle area.

Just did it*, and as suspected, Ban really really knows what he's talking about:thumbup:

Should know better than question the man on his Birthday:D

* By "it" I am implying placed one knife atop another, and this is not some half asses Nike Ad.

However "Busse Combat - Just Did It" has a nice ring.

-Yet again "it" needs to be clarified

The SE seems to have the same outline as the Fatties, beside their width, the extra height makes them too big for my Dogfather sheaths. It deserves better than nylon so no big deal.

Sort of, for a "very" short time;)

I wonder where that knife is now. In Skunk's super-secret underground bunker? I wonder if that knife was made before the protos. Is that a proto-proto? Funny, because that looks more like the production FBMs than the protos do. And it's full-flat grind- droooool.
