ChaChing!

yes, the last knife I bought was a ffg endura when they came out, I had a list of knives to buy with income tax money but that was put to an end about two hours ago :(

No more than usual. I've never really been able to spend massive amounts on knives so I make every penny count.

Nope. I actually have some knife money burning a hole in my pocket, just cant decide what to get.

Is the current economy causing you to think twice about a knife purchase?

Only in that I pay closer attention to country of origin.
I will only buy a foreign made knife if I cannot find a US made design with the features I want. I will pay a higher price to get an equivalent knife that is US-made.

I'm finding that I'm doing more trades to exchange knives I haven't carried for a while for some that I do or some that I want rather than just buying or selling and buying. But regardless of that, my knife budget is strong enough to get the better offerings these days if I'm so inclined.

Yes. Times are tough. I find myself enjoying my older knives more.

For the most part, this is me. I've been spending most of my time (and just a little $) to enhance my sharpening skills, using knives I've been collecting for the past 20 years or so. I'm finding I'm getting a LOT more enjoyment out of old knives with new, wicked-sharp edges on 'em.

Having said that, I will occasionally go 'temporarily insane' () and spend some bigger $$ on some design(s) that I just HAVE to have. To wit, I just had 9 knives come in the mail this past week. But those are the first in a pretty good while.
