I Just traded for a Custom Chad Nichols Framelock folder with his Iguana Stainless Damascus, it's on the way to my home now.

Just curious, anyone used his Stainless damascus for a while?

How does it hold up?

Does the etching on the blade hold up well?

How does the edge last?

How is the corrosion resistance?

Really any experiences with it would be helpful, I am deciding whether or not to make this one a user.

Thanks so much

I'll post some pics when it arrive, and please feel free to post any pics

I love the steel. For me, it holds a great edge for what I use it for, weekend carry, and looks great while doing it. etching holds up, corrosion resist is great, often cut different foods and not wipe blade for a while and is just fine, i use Ren wax though, on all my damascus.

Wow, that blade looks great, I am much more inclined to consider using this one.

You said that you use Ren Wax, do you use oil in addition to Ren Wax, or do you just wash the blade down after? How often do you reapply? Is it easy to tell when it needs to be reapplied?

I dont use oil in addition to Ren, and yes, i think it is easy to tell when needs reapplied. I just wipe the blade after use, soft cloth and water at best.

Chad's Damascus is as good or better than any 'out there'......good stuff, Maynerd. :)
