Hi Folks -

I asked Chad to craft a sheath for my custom shop FMV14 - we talked about what would be cool, and this is a fairly scarce black and tan G10 custom shop FMV, Chad suggested gray beaver tail inlay.

I am so glad - and Chad made the "cathedral window" cutouts - (my terminology) but wow - how cool does this look!

cpirtle cpirtle thank you once again for a masterpiece in leather. I could not be happier going into the Labor Day weekend!

That is a fantastic sheath and what a pairing with the V14! Don't know if it gets any better than that. I really like the cathedral window cutouts too. Adds a lot to the appearance of the sheath. He just finished up a couple sheaths for my BOSC IDs and can't wait to see how they turned out.
 
Best is correct.

That looks freakishly perfect.

Its a certainty to me now that A.I. has become self aware and is making leather sheaths for busse blades.

Andy, thanks for posting the pictures and the great feedback! I’m happy you like it and glad it’s such a good match to your scales :cool:

Thanks to everyone else as well! As far as the beaver tail goes, it’s all domestically harvested through traditional trapping and has a great texture. It can be hard to get in larger sizes and is hard to work with because the small hides can vary 50-60% in thickness across a piece. It’s also bordering on elephant price wise, but overall I love working with it because it’s so unique.

LMAO... while I’ll admit I’ve been accused of being a robot I’m pretty sure I’m still flesh and blood. I do have momentary time loss when we lose power at the house and I need to switch to battery backup but doesn’t everyone?
