Chainsaw chaps

Ive had mine for 6 plus years. They fit right over your pants. Work great, great ability for movement. Only cut into them once and they just stop the blade. Didnt scar up the chap at all. Plus you can usually find them locally for warranty if need be. Have held up great so far. plus you can try different sizes at a local store

Doesnt matter what kind, get em and use em. It could save your life.--KV

Thanks! I have spent a considerable sum on motorcycle protective gear so I value the difference in a $600 Shoei helmet versus a cheaper $100 alternative.

I want to make sure I'm getting the good stuff so, specific recommendations for brands to avoid and brands/models to seek out are what I'm looking for. Does 1000 denier compared to 600 make a difference? Stihl vs. Husqvarna vs. the others?

Thanks!

My cousin got a complete set of Husqvarna stuff...helmet with faceguard and pull down ear protectors and a nice set of chaps. I'm not sure how much he spent and i can't contest to how good they are (because thank god we haven't had a chance to "test" them out)

Here you can find the chaps by themselves for $60

Stay safe and have fun!

ETA: Actually...I stumbled upon the set he seemed to get. http://www.amickssuperstore.com/Husqvarna_Professional_Safety_Kit_p/husqvarna pro safety kit.htm

Yes, that's one of the places I looked at. The difference in the full set versus ordering separately is the 600 denier chaps in the "kit".

I bought mine from Labonville Inc. and also own their Kevlar Boots.
