So I guess I've never sharpened a semi-chisel before... Sharpening the Husqvarna H30 chain on my saw and I notice that it seems to burr on both the outside and top side of the tooth before I really have that biting leading edge I am used to. Is this just a function of the chain being as sharp as its going to get being a somewhat mid-grade semi chisel instead of the nicer full chisels I am more accustom to? FWIW I caved and ended up buying an angle guide and everything this time (historically I've felt spoiled if I even had a file handle!)...

Generally that burr will come off as soon as you get into the wood. Then you'll see if it is sharp....
Make sure you are using the right file size for that chain and if you are using the Husky roller guide make sure you have the right one for that chain, ie .325 narrow kerf pixel chain. FWIW H30 is a homeowner grade chain, don't expect much from it.
