Anybody out there used this sling?
Q:How secure is a Commander using the attached kydex sheath.
Q:thoughts/opinions/suggestions on this
setup.

I've been using Denny's (Snake) sling for several years. For CQB, Structure clearing,
Weapon Transitioning can't be beat.

I have mine rigged for an entry AR-10, AR-15.

My knives are attached via a fastex piece I had double sewn for completely secure anchoring. That way I can change knifes and sheaths if needed.
Hope that helps.

Wow! Don't you find the blast of the .308 "slightly" loud for indoor use, Tam?

YeeDude,
What ?
Still can't hear !

Seriously, It's a AR-10 16" Flatop w/ GG&G
Flip up Rear & Front Tritium insert, EDD Holo Sight and has GG&G QD NV mount w/ ITT PVS 14. (Yes the Holo and NV are compatible)

My thoughts were when builing it to deny all concealment and some perceived cover (i.e. walls etc.) :-)
just in case I had a situation w/ some really "Bad Motor Scooters".
Works awesome !

I used to fret about the roar of my rifle used indoors in self defense. Now i have the electronic proears muffs next to the weapons, so if'n i got time to grab a rifle and load it, i got time to throw those things on. At least if i dont win the battle, i'll deafen somebody...

BOOOM

Just when you think you've got major caliber firepower for your entry weapon...

P.S. Just to bring this thread back to point - I've been using a Chalker Sling for a while also. Unfortunately, I haven't tried nor used the knife sheath option... Also still need to get a retention thingimabob for when one transitions to le pistole...

I'm a "Giles Sling" guy and have been considering the "Tactical Tailor" version with a Fastex release buckle.

I have considered the Chalker as it can be worn under a shirt and snapped on to the weapon as needed. There is also nothing to get tangled up in other gear. It just takes some getting used to I guess.

Giles sling all the way.

On a shorty CAR stocked AR-15 or an HK51. Gotta love those short barreled rifles. Volmer used to do those conversions all the time 91 to 51.

Funny thing. I was just doing some research on the HK51 FJ Volmer conversions. They made some interesting hybrids but are no longer making them. The 51 is a wierd little piece but interesting nonetheless. The belt fed 51 is the strangest of their HK creations.

IT's all Good !...
