ACE Chameleon Stage 2 Proto #1 by Fairall designs.

This is stage 2 in my Ace line of push knives. Named the Ace Chameleon for its ability to change, it can be changed from the original ace to the Chameleon utility, in just a few seconds. The Chameleon will come in several colors, and have both neck sheath (for the Ace) and a belt sheath (Chameleon)and I will post pictures of it as soon as I get them made up.. Hope you like it!

Thanks,
Brad Fairall

So that blade doesn't have a lock on it in the open position and at the finger arc extends below the frame so that gripping will keep it open? Thanks for a reply. Frank

This is not a folder, but a handle that tranforms the ace from a small hideout push knife, into a super utility knife, and back again...but you are on the right track Frank...I allready have the folder designed in CAD, it's called the Ace Transformer stage 3, and ready for prototyping! But it won't be out for awhile yet, I need to follow through with stage 2 first. But, keep watching...it will change right before your eyes!

A quick note: I should get the measurments up here...it has an overall length of 5 3/8" and the overall width is 2" , and it's an incredibly strong design! And sold. I will be posting the next one up in the makers for sale area.

Thanks,

Brad

Here are the two sheaths I jus finished, the Chameleon Belt sheath complete with small Tek-Lok mounting system, and Ace sheath. Thought I would post those.

Brad, could you show us the transformation? In all your views the blade is in the same position.

Very clever engineering.

OK, now I get it. It appeared to me (at first glance) that the blade rotated in the mount for protection. Not so. It simply comes apart? Tools or press apart?

Thanks,

Coop

Hey Coop, Yeh this is just stage 2 the utility handle...but when I get the time and resources put together, it will be a folder..I have had the folding version in CAD for several months now...Baby steps...lol

Thanks Frank,

I should mention that one of this designs strong points is, it can be purchased in 2 stages. This is for the guy that can't offord it all at once. He can get the Ace that he can afford now, and later add the handle, breaking it into two more affordable payments, but getting to use the Ace right away!
