Steve Johnson is donating a knife for the Special Olympics. If you admire his work, this is a chance to get one for probably less than what it would cost to order one. Email him directly to bid: srj@manti.com
"This knife is available during a silent auction and all proceeds from the sale will go to the Special Olympics. Larry Nordell, who is in charge of the fund raising for this event, has made this facility, #3 in amount donated to the Special Olympics in the state of Utah. This little trout/paring knife, depending on how you look at it, is made with an ATS-34 stainless steel blade, stainless tubes for fasteners and "bone-stag" handles. the first handle of this material I've ever used. I kind of like it!
The beautiful brain tanned and beaded sheath is donated by Nathan Buckman, a fellow teacher, here at the Central Utah Correctional Facility. He tanned the leather and did the beadwork himself. This includes the rawhide lining inside the sheath. I hope we can get a good price for this worthy cause."
