HD, I assumed that I could do a simple search and find loads of chandan (Sandalwood) here in the states. I was wrong. It's a wonder there's a tree left anywhere in the world that hasn't been converted to incense or oil. I did find a few.

I think that many woods are called sandalwood. Our chanda is Santalum album IIRC.
