Do you guys think this is stupid? all sapre change getting thrown in a peanut butter jar that says knife fund on it?

To save try to save up for something shiny and more qualitier. (ik that isnt a real word)

I think you have 3 posts on the first page and it's time to stop making new posts.

my daughters dont allow for a change jar. no matter how much i put in, it always has somewhere around 17 cents in it.

I've been doing it for several years now. My jar is rather large and it takes me about ten months to fill it up. When it's full it holds about $235 in nickels, dimes, and quarters. (I keep pennies in another jar)

I never miss the change. It's a great way to save up a little extra cash whether you use the money for knives or something else.

I think it works great, I have probably just a 25oz size jar but it can hold about $70 in it when full (no pennies).

I certainly do! I actually just rolled what I have the other day, I ended up with ~$50. It took about 5 months to get it saved up. I use my debit card alot so I dont have as much as if I always used cash.

I do this, but I don't relegate it just to knives. Sometimes knives, sometimes guns, sometimes equipment.

I do that too, I've recently started to collect store brand knives and guns from sears and western auto. Especially from the 50's and 60's, way cheaper and made by the major firms with only minor differences.

I have a change jar also. Has over $300 in it. It typically gets used for when my kids (all in college) come asking for money though. I make them take it an cash it in and then figure I'm lucky and then take the money out of my checking account and buy a knife :)
