If possible please restore my old account so I can regain my hit count.

Have you tried logging in using your old account name and password?

If you changed the email address for that account, it will need to be activated from the server generated message sent to the new email address.

If these don't work, I suggest trying to call Spark at 1SKS and talking to him directly, to avoid any confusion.

I'll see if one of the supers can check into this for you, as Spark is one busy dude right now.

Thanks for your help on this matter.
The old account: RobertHankins is no longer active.
Tried to log in didn't work.
The old acct info is important as that is what I was recognized by.
 
If you've forgotten the password but you can still access the email address in that profile, just hit the "forgot password" button. If you can't get email at that address any more, Spark can help you.
 
I just checked -- RobertHankins is in the member category "users awaiting email confirmation." That means you started to change either your password or your email address and didn't complete the process (at least, I don't know of any other way you could have gotten into that member category). If you tried to change your password the system sent a confirmation request to your listed email address and it's awaiting your reply -- or if you tried to change your email address it sent a confirmation request to your old address. (That's all so if you walk away from your computer for a minute while you're logged in and somebody tries to take over your account he can't do it.)

If you didn't try to change your password or email address I have no idea how you got in that category. In any case if you can't use that email account to reply to the confirmation request Spark will have to help you; I don't have access to fix that.

Anyway it's not a name change you need; you need to restore your access to the RobertHankins account. You can just forget about the Blinker account once the RobertHankins account is fixed.
 
Ok, so instead of reactivating your old account, you started a new one, registered it as a KnifeMaker, and now want it changed over?

Sorry, can't do that at this time - if we do so, you'll lose all the posts associated with the previous RobertHankins account. vB3 will have the option of merging accounts together, but that isn't available at this time.

So, you need to make a choice - delete the old account & lose all of it's posts, or leave this one alone until the software comes out.

Thanks for responding. Don't really care about the hit count as much as getting my old screen name back. So if we could just change the screen name to RobertHankins that will work.
As far as the hit count I can work on that!
 
Actually, have patience... the next version of the vB software is coming out really soon now and I'll be able to merge your accounts under one name then. Until then, sit tight.
