Hey everyone, I just got a notification on my phone that my password used for bladeforms was in a known data leak and was recommended to change it immediately. I’d highly recommend checking your own passwords and make sure it’s not the same as any banking info etc and changing any potentially comprised passwords. I know this is pretty off topic for this forum but I figured it was important to pass along.

Are you sure that was not a phishing attempt on you?
I’m positive, it was an internal notification from my phone’s security. It monitors if any of my passwords have been potentially compromised. If it was a text message or email I would have just ignored it.

Did it say the data leak was through BF, or did you just happen to use the same password on BF that you also used on another site that had a security issue?

It could be either I don’t believe it said but it specifically mentioned blade forums and I can’t find the notification now that I’ve changed everything. It could be nothing but I figured I’d post something in case something did happen.

I just got a similar notification from google a few days ago. This was a password breach from years ago and I thought I had changed all passwords, but google had kept the login information for some now defunct web sites. I thought it was curious that it took several years for them to warn me about it.
