I have a shiro neon nl that I keep on my desk and love to flick it, blade shoots out like a bullet on this thing! It's gotten some wear or patina on the clip, nothing major but definitely shows wear on the edges of the clip. The rest of the knife is in perfect unmolested condition. If and when the day comes that I sell it, would I be better off leaving it or trying to get a new clip? I doubt it's fun to change but willing to do it, but curious what others do in these situations.

I’d leave the existing clip. even with such small blemishes a Shiro can command a good price.

As Terry said, some wear on the edges of the clip aren't going to vastly decrease the secondary market price of a Shiro. Changing the clip isn't hard, but I don't know where you'd get a new one. I've seen at least one or two custom jobs from Instagram makers but that's about it.

I think you'd be better off leaving it as is. Clips are going to get scratched. If the goal is to possibly sell, then I don't recommend putting money into it. You're not guaranteed to break even, and would be more likely to lose even more.

Yep, I think leaving it alone makes sense, besides, the new clip could possibly cost a small fortune. Any guesses on how much a new clip would cost? My guess would be about $250-$300.
