That is right. I am the same person but the name is new. I used to be known by my email address, rkenny@wcupa.edu, and I was never very comfortable with it. After an incident on another forum site, I decided to change the name to make it harder for dishonest/mean spirited people to do dishonest/mean spirited things to me. I will probably be changing my email too. Any suggestions for good free email service, with special regards to privacy protection?

I've kept my main email address at Yahoo.com. They are fairly active against spam. I get very little email that I didn't ask for or sign up for. They are charging for pop accounts now, but I simply use their web based mapi accts. It's a little slower, but I can get it anywhere, and I don't get viruses. You get 6mb of email space, which is quite a bit of email.

I had a yahoo account for a long time and liked it very much. Like Hank said, very good spam protection and at least to my knowledge, good privacy protection as well. Hope your troubles are over with respect to weirdos on the net. I've had my eyes opened with respect to that myself:(

Thanks for the heads up on the name change:)

Try hotmail.com

They still let you use POP accounts. But you are limited to 2MB.

I use Mail and News .com. 100 mb storage. Free no Spam in 2 years. What more can you ask for. texalp

I'm still signed up with AOL and get tons of spams, scams, and enough porno ads to satisfy even the most addicted porno fans. And, I'm sick of all of it.

How about a half decent internet provider. With SWBell I seem to get cut off every time I get on this forum anymore befor I can read part of the Posts. It gets agrivating to have to connect every five minutes.

Try netzero.net

or juno.com

They're both $9.95/mo. and where I live it connects quick ~52K

Of course, when I lived in Georgia, they connected at 41K, so maybe it changes with each location.

Just don't go with worldnet.att.net - It took me 7 months to cancel with them even though I called it in every month.

Thanks, I'll have to check those out. I got cut off again between my post and yours.
