I'm wondering if there is/are going to be any changes and/or improvement on the Civilian, in a near future.

I'm about to buy it soon, real soon, and I don't want to know few weeks later, that there's a new version.

(This happened to me when I bought Viele, before I join this Forum. It's HURT!)

There's a carbon fibre Civilian just around the corner, in plain or serr, left or righthanded...perfection!!

Posted this over at Spyderco's own, figured I'd ask here too. Can anyone tell me anything about "good guy letters" that come with or are related to the Civilian? I saw some vague references to something like this while reading the archives. Just curious.

Included in the pouch with each Civi is a letter from Spyderco which tells something about the intended use/design features of the Civilian.

Hi Santi. We're always making minor refinements on our models, so it's hard to tell what is the "latest". the most recenmt refinment to the Civilian was the addition of the "David Boye Style" locking lever.

We also have a "Sprint" run of 500 Carbon Fiber Civvies coming out, but it's more than likely a one shot deal.

Many thanks. . .
I'll wait for the Carbon Fiber Civvies, then.

I'll be at the finish line if there is a sprint run for a limited Civvie in titanium handle... *hehehehhheeehhee!*

Samo, you are a trouble maker! Buttttt, I am with YOU!!! Do you think since we all convinced Sal to make the Carbon Fiber Civie, is it too early to start a campaign for a Titanium or Aluminum Handled Civie in say "Blue Almite" similar to the Green Almite to be used on the new Chinese Folder???

Sal, so this 'locking lever' is different than the lockback type on the alumninum handled version that I own? And is this feature going to be included on the upcoming run of carbon fiber (don't foget - PLAIN edge).
Thanks.

Rony ~ I guess Uncle Sal has loads of requests for special sprint run knives!

The CF Civvies should be really AWESOME knives to procure! A titanium handled C12 would be a dream spydie to the discerning spydernut! *hehehhhehhh!
