So I ordered my 3.5 with a bow drill divot and I've come to see them as something I don't want. Is there a way to modify the order without bothering Ellie? I don't see one from the My Account page, just thought there might be an easier way.

U can send her a PM or email with order no. & change.
Since they're awaiting fullfilment, should get a confirmation back in a day or two.

Yes, I do believe the only way is for her to do it. She's mentioned changing orders for people before and never mentioned anything about there being some way for the customer to do it themselves

You have to contact her. I've had to change two orders so far, and she's responded back within the day on both.
I did both through the message feature on their website, no problems.

You will be see when the changes are done on your order as the bow divot option will say no thanks or something similar after it has been changed.
I did it to my pre order 3.5 and 7/7 as well.

^^^Try this, it may give the fastest results. Also, realize that some changes may bump you back in delivery order. If that is worth it, then you know how to procede. If you were an early orderer you might want to weigh the option of just buying new scales later.

Thanks all, I appreciate it. I'm just trying to reconcile wishing them both a happy honeymoon and annoying them with a relatively petty change to an order. Trying to be as unobtrusive about it as I can.

If you want to be unobtrusive then I'd go with Silver's suggestion and just buy new scales later.

I know personally that because of the COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE nature of the wait times my mind wanders from what I used to think was ideal and I kind of grow and change as a person over time. This has lead to back and forth battles in my mind of what I ordered and what I currently want. Do what you think you really need to do, just realize modifying an order can add steps for them and back up your order.

Just send me an email with your order # and I can go in and get it changed over. We do the bow drill divots in house so it is just a matter of not doing the divot once the handles come in. Since they don't even exist yet it is no problem. If we had already done the divot and there were no other handles in stock to replace, then things get more complicated.

Sent, and thanks, I just know how much you hate the emails lol.

I getcha, I'm actually hoping to take a step out of the process though :)

Already a response, and an incredibly kind and thoughtful one to boot. Take a vacation you hard working, conscientious, wonderful people!! [emoji16]

You are a very thoughtful fellow grogimus

I am positive that Ellie did not mind that polite request at all. So cool that she makes herself available for this kind of thing here. What color scheme did you go with on your 3.5?

Thoughtful? I'm almost messed up enough to rant uselessly in W&C, thanks though.

Black and orange G-10, black hardware, black sheath, ferro notch. It's gonna be a beauty!
