Changes to Sebenza's !

I have a large classic made in june 2000 and the handle slabs are what I can only describe as smooth. I recently got a large reg and the slabs are more roughed - when did these changes occur or is it still possible to get the 2 different kinds of finish ?


While I am on the subject - what other subtly changes have been made to the sebenza over the last few years ?

Anne told me a while back that CRK has always used the same polishing media for the blasted finish. The differences in surface "roughness" are due to the age of the polishing media. When new, the media tends to produce a coarser finish. Over time, as more slabs are produced, the finish tends to become finer as the media wears. What you get depends upon where in this process your slabs were produced.
