changing a blades finish or coating?

I'm looking for options for changing a blades finish from something like shiny to something more muted. Perhaps grayed out, or something akin to a Sebenza's or Kershaw Blur's s30v blade. Uparmor looks like a good quality path but i don't really want the designs. Just straight up grayish. Maybe even something like the Benchmade 690. That had a black coated blade and a dark gray blade coating. I liked the gray coating. I have several knives i would like to send off eventually for this treatment, but i want to try it out with one first, to test the water so to speak. Does anyone know some good places for me to look into this? Thanks.
