Changing Handle Slabs

Has anyone ever had their handle slabs replaced? What are the pros and cons of having said work done. Thanks,
 
No, but I'm currently deciding whether to get such a project done by the custom shop. The mod I want to get done is kinda pricey, but would be very cool :thumbup:
 
Yes I was also wondering about that aspect of price also. I guess I'll have to call the custom shop too.
 
Had it done. You'll pay shipping both ways, and cost of handle replacement. Which is a little under a Franklin, for a bigger knife. Pros are, you'll have a knife you like better. Cons, you could end up not liking it.

Garth rehandled my BAD. I am very happy I went for it. I like it a lot better now, even if it's just aesthetic. He changed out tan micarta for green g-10 to match my tank buster. :thumbup:

Those are nice Soulrack, you just reminded me those are two more Busse's I want to aqquire. Nice sheaths too I like the piggyback sheath system also, Thats a good idea. Thanks for the photos and your time.

bld522 is that desert ironwood, very nice scales and work!

Thanks for the kind words! The sheaths were done by Dwayne Puckett, Armoralleather, Leatherman here on the forums. Really nice. I have 4 of his sheaths.
 
how much dose it cost to send a knife for a handle change?

lets say a SS for one example and a larger as the ASH or HR
