Changing my old email address ie new already in use

Hi,
I am having a problem with my account. When I go to my user cp my old email is listed. When I try and change to my new email account I get a message saying its already in use. By me I suspect. I dont seem to be getting any emails from my threads. How do I change to my current email address? If this has been addressed in this forum Sorry for the repeat question.

You must have opened a new account with your current favorite email address. Can you remember what username you used?

They say when you're in an alcoholic blackout you can remember what happened during all the other alcoholic blackouts....

If you can remember the username try to login with that and click the lost password button and the system will send a new password to the email address you used for that account.

Once you can log in to that account you can change the email address to another one that works, and then you can change the email address for the ken erickson account to that one.
 
I dont think I have done that, I first made my account in aug of 2004. The email address is what I had at that time. I changed providers about a year and half ago. Not sure whats going on.

What's your current email address?
 
Seems like you signed up with that as your username and email address back in August 2005, then stopped using the profile in September. Why is beyond me, since you even went so far as to activate this profile. Regardless, I'm going to shoot you an email to that addy to confirm it's actually you. When you get it, copy and past the text to a reply here, then I'll get rid of the alternate profile; you'll be able to change your email then.

Ok, that profile is deleted. You are lucky you never posted using it - if you had, I couldn't delete it, no matter what.

I think you were right. If I was a drinker maybe I would have an excuse for messing this thing up! LOL
