changing pocket clip?

I just got a kershaw scaveger and the pocket clip needs to be bent becuase it is nearly impossible to pull it out of my pocket within 3 seconds because the clip is to tight, how do you suggest bending it without damaging anything (ex: plastic handle, and black finish on clip)
 
Put a piece of thin rubber between the clip and the handle and let it rest for a while. If it's still not loose enough after that, add another piece...ad infinitum.
 
Just take it off and bend it out a little. Thats what I do. If you use tools or a vice cover it with a towel to keep from marking it up.

Leave it. It will loosen up over time. If you bend it now you'll be bending it in the opposite direction in a few months when it gets too loose.
