Changing res-c grip colors?

I'm looking at a Safety Mutt since the Mud Mutts are gone but I just can't get past the blaze orange grip. For a camp knife that makes a LOT of sense. But for my GHB/BOB it's really a disadvantage. Short of taking a rattle can to it (which would just flake off and would probably come off on my hands)...are there any options for changing the color of a res-c grip without screwing up the grippy-ness of the material?

You could contact Yard's customer service and ask if they had any other colors of mudders handy.
You can also keep an eye on exchange, they (Mud) do pop up quite often.

Already asked about Muds, discontinued, not being made. And on the exchange you are typically paying a premium for them. I'm just looking for something to replace a CS Kubon Tanto. So I might just go with a 511 or something similar.

I'm not talking about Mudds, the handles themselves came in few colors, I have on different knives black, tan/gray, chocolate aside from that there is orange, green, and IIRC there even were a few purple.

If you buy one, and handle 'breaks' SY will replace it...
