Wonder if someone here had some experience of changing the scales of the paramililitary 2, is it easy to do it yourself or more difficult then i think ?
I wanna order some carbon scales for a paramilitary 2 but before i gonna get the paramilitary apart i wanna know your opinions.

What makes it difficult is the pressed in lanyard tube. But what is even harder than taking them off, is putting them back on and getting the lanyard tube installed correctly.

It sounds like you may need to rethink this operation, unless you're really good at this.

The Lanyard Tube is a PAIN. Good reason to buy an another knife, I know they made it with S90V. It might be a bit hard to find.

Exactly the lanyard tube was one of the things of my concerns together with the compression lock.
Maybe i let it done by the guy who is selling the scales in Germany :)
It's no job for me as i hear the opinions here.
Coolest thing for me should be to buy a para2 with m390 steel and some really nice custom carbon fiber, but it's gonna $$$ !
This will be my first serious knife and i want one to use/ abuse for a long time so it has to be nice.

The lanyard tube is a total pain in the ass to remove. I recently dyed my para 2 scales and could not for the life of me get the tube out of the scale/liner (I could get one off but not the other) I wouldn't recommend taking it apart unless you are ready for some work.

The lanyard tube is slightly flared to help hold the butt of the handle together. If you had to ask if it was difficult, I don't recommend trying it.
