Hi guys,
Sorry if this is a double post but I don't see my thread anywhere here or in my own profile when searching for recent posts, so I guess it didn't take.
So I recently got a Pocket Bushman, and with all my CS knives I am very happy. However, like some of their models, it comes with the "threaded" one-sided stud instead of the usual double sided one or the thumb disk. This is okay, however I do need to unscrew it in order to change it from right one-handed opening to left, being left-handed.
I have a Recon 1 as well with the same stud set up, but I can open it from the left side without changing the stud side.
On the Pocket Bushman though, resistance is great and very hard to open with the minimal amount sticking out. And even if I could, I'd be afraid of loosing my grip and it snapping back shut on my hand, so it wouldn't be safe for me to try.
I've attempted a couple different flathead screwdriver sizes, as well as gripping the stud with pliers to keep a firm grip on it. So far, though, no luck in unscrewing it. Some YouTube vids have users demonstrating this easily so I know it can be done but I can't seem to figure out the trick. I've changed lots of screws on pocket clips and other things so I'm no novice, but I can't get this CS threaded stud down.
Any help or recommendations would be appreciated. I can't safely open the Pocket Bushman one-handed unless I change it.
Thanks guys.
