Caught ten in one trip. Hooked myself in the index finger, twice. Is it just me..or do sunfish go after livers? Oh, got gouged by one of the catfish...really doesnt feel too pleasant..nope. STINGS! It was a weird night..was called on to help find a couple who went missing at the lake, in the dark, in an area well known for black bears.. :-)
 
In my experience, sunfish are the goats of freshwater. They'll eat anything. I caught one on a circle hook full of corn when carping a couple weeks ago.

Take care of that catfish poke. A friend of mine got one and his hand ended up looking like a softball with fingers.
 
I caught a lot of channel cats growing up.

I heard they hurt when getting stuck, but i never have got stuck before.
 
Yep, sucks getting stuck with those barbs. Happened to me a few times, it's rather unpleasant. I now have a pair of kevlar-lined cut-resistant work gloves in my tackle box for such cases.
