Chaparral RN clip retention

Does anyone have any tips for improving the retention of the Chaparral in raffir Noble? I have bent the clip some but it seems the scales are pretty slippery. I have stopped carrying the knife completely because it's come out of my pocket 3 times.
Any alternative clip or way to increase the retention? Other than selling it and picking up the CF or FRN version that is.
 
Put a grip sticker where the clip pushes against the scales. Maybe a piece of gun grip tape?

Not gonna look pretty. Maybe a clear piece of scotch tape?
 
I took the clip off mine exactly for this reason. It only sees pocket carry now.
