Chaparral scale opinions

Making carbon fiber scales for my frn chap ,and the material is quite a bit thicker than needed. My quandary is:do I make it thin like original , or make scales more hand filling and contoured? I can't make a decision, hoping the combined wisdom of the forum can help me decide. Thanks.
 
I guess CF would be more slippery than the textured FRN, so fat contoured handle might be better.
 
Good point, I didn't even think of that. The material I have would probably look better contoured because the layers are different colors.
 
I would love to have mine contoured. I have a carbon fiber chaparral and like it, but would love something a bit more hand filling.Do it! If you dont like it I'll trade ya.(as long as its not a hack job,lol)
