Chapman Broad Axe

I have a Chapman Cast Steel Broad Axe. I am trying to determine its approximate age but can find nothing on Chapman axes. Is anyone familiar with this company? If so, can you lead me to a resource regarding them?

It looks like an old tie-hacker's pattern, and the only Chapman I can find was near Collinsville, CT back in the late 1860's.

Thank you. I found this in an area where there was a lot of logging and a small gauge railroad from the very early 1800 into the 1920s.
