Hello,
I am in Belgium and I do not speak English. text is a machine translation imperfect and I took you to forgive me.

I practice throwing knives with rotations, but I always find crippling need to adjust planting distances, which is why I would aprendre technique without rotation of Ralph Thorn.

In addition, I ordered 6 knives bowie style of 12 inches and 0.236 inches thick one-piece steel 1055 for a weight of around 0.6 lbs see.
I know there are throwing knives series but I want a functional knife, sharp, useful for camping and hiking.

I want to know where should be the center of Gravitee with the method of throwing ralph thorn? Should it be 60% next poignée.Est this correct?
I believe I read that with this throwing technique, the handle must be heavy.
Can you confirm.

Thank you for your understanding and your investment to promote the launch of knives

If u practice, adjusting your knife rotation with distance should come. It is just a matter of trial and error. I can adjust my throw with changing distances with-ought to much difficulty so i believe it just takes consistent practice. My throwing knifes weights are either to the middle or the front. I believe but am not sure you get less force if the weight is in the handle, unless your throwing blade in hand. Ralph Thorn throws bobby branton throwers in his video which have the weight in the front. But middle works also. I do not know what you mean by the handle must be heavy as i have used the blank flying steel knives with great success and they have light handles.

Tried to answer best i could and to the best of my knowledge. Good Luck with your throwing

Thank you for this answer

In fact, I would start by the sleeve as does ralph thorn.
I am well aware that one can practice hard to master throwing whatever technique.
Method but no spin'm interested by the fact that you can still run the race any distance and positions dificult.

Without claiming to want to master the launch as well as ralph thorn, say that it is a challenge that I'm starting.

My question about the center Gravitee is linked to various post on the choice of throwing knives best fit method ralph thorn including this one from 12/16/2011:

(According to Which style of no spin throwing you do.

For shuriken style, smaller spike-type weapons tends to work best.

For the flexible wrist no spin or "thorn" style, larger knives balanced like a regular knife, that 'is, with the weight on the handle side, work best.

The best I have ever had happen to be made by two buddies of mine, the knife shur by Pat of flyingsteel (Which Has No handle) and Any of the blades with handles made by Bobby Branton, this forum's moderator.)

I would have liked more information on these features to have knives knives are best suited to this way of knowing that I start is always possible to start the blade as with my throwing knives whose current weight is on the handle.

thank you

you can set a thread on tail .

Hello,
Thank you for your answer, but just be what the machine translation, but I do not understand what you want to show this photo by representing knives that are initiated in the way of shurikens.

Do you think the proposed feature (weight, length, thickness) are the best fit?

It is alway possible to have a knife with a single piece balanced center and add the wood on the handle for allourdi.
* In current text Ralph thorn that I put above, it says that heavy pognées are best fit if the same method is used to start everything in a rush.

Thank you for your help

PS: do you know if there is a way to BUY as ebook book (and DVD) by downloading to avoid transport costs and facilitate the translation of the book.
thank you
André

The knives that I make for no spin are balanced slightly to the rear of center (handle heavy). The idea of no spin is to retard the throwing so that the knife does not spin. With experience, you will be able to feel most any knife and adjust your throw.
