Just sent an email to Leatherman and they say the extended bit set will be available mid to late September.

They should have been ready for sale when they started sending out the Charge Tools. I want the complete package on this thing!

Well...they either didn't have the resources to get them done. Or...more likely, they get everyone in a frenzy so more people will buy the bits if they delay them a short time.

I appreciate a free market economy and respect the rights of businesses to do what's in their best interest. At the same time, there is somethig to be said for giving the customer what they want, when they want it.

They will be here before you know it and then we can show them to family and friends and get to work on repairing closet doors and plumbing repair.

If you don't want to wait for the extended bit set to come out or you want to use standard bits for your new charge I have the solution for you.

If you play around with the bits that came with your charge you might notice that they will fit into a standard 1/4" hex drive bit holder. Basically the leatherman bits are just hex bits that are ground flat so the take up less space. So if you would grind a standard hex bit flat it would fit in almost perfectly. But if you are really smart just take a Magnetic bit extender and grind it flat, now you have an adapter to standard hex bits. It’s simple and easy to do, and costs almost nothing.

Good luck
