I've finally decided on the tool, it's a Leatherman Charge TI---but I want it in a black oxide finish. I'm also not quite sure about a leather vs. nylon pouch. Can anybody steer me to where I can get the Black charge at a decent price, and the pro's and con's of the different puches?

But doesn't the black coating wear off after a while ??
....I would imagine some do and some don't. We'll have to wait and see, huh? Leatherman, and the Charge Ti are both high quality---let's hope Leatherman wouldn't sully their reputation, especially on a "tactical" tool. Tactical anything is very popular now, therefore they introduced a tactical line.
Sog and Gerber have black oxide finishes and I haven't heard any complaints, but I could be wrong.

So the black doesn't even wear off after you sharpen the blade etc ???
