hello,
Is there a Manual that I can learn from, what are the proper uses for the tools inside the charge ti? Like the differences of use with the Diamond-Coated File to the Wood/Metal File or which of the tools good for dilling with metal and which are not. I do not want to ruin my tool because of improper use.

Didn't a manual come with the tool? My wave did when they first came out.

But in general, screw drivers are for driving screws. Scissors are for cutting paper, fabric, finger and toe nails. The saw is for sawing wood. The diamond file can be used on anything except diamonds, the wood file for filing wood, the metal file for filing metal. The mainblade for cutting pretty much anything you feel like. The serrated blade for cutting seatbelts, rubber garden siding and rope. The pliers can be used to hold onto anything small enough, and even remove the ocassional splinter. Wire cutters cut wire. The can/bottle opener is used to open cans and bottles and the wire stripper is used to strip plastic sheathing off of wires.

Common sense is a good way to go. Don't pry anything with the tools, otherwise you might break something, or bend it badly (which is what happened to my wave). Don't dig with the blades either, this will dull them quickly and even chip them if you're unlucky. Don't try to turn nuts or bolts with the pliers, cause you might strip the inside of the pliers or the outside of the nuts/bolts.

Hope this helps...

Don't worry about it, if you damage it send it back to Leatherman and either get it fixed or a new one.

I have really used the diamond file on my Wave for sharpening a 1085 camp knife. I managed to wear a some of the diamond off and asked Leatherman how much it would be to get a replacement blade.

Their answer: 'Its covered by the 25 year warrranty'

I said, no you don't understand, its not broken I just used the hell out of it and its worn off.

Thanks for your answers. now, I have a little bit of direction.
And about the warranty-do I have to send this papers that I got in the box back to the company or not?
thanks for your help. :)
