Charge TTi or AL

I'm alittle stuck on which multitool to buy myself. I have it down to the Leatherman Charge TTi or the Charge AL. I looked at the comparison between the two on the Leatherman site and the only differences were the blade steels on the TTi, no cutting hook on the AL's serrated blade, no wire crimpers on the AL, and of course the AL doesn't have any titanium built into the handles; all of which really does not mean too much to me at all. Even though I do like getting the most options out my knives and m-tools especially, but none of that really seems to add that much value or use to me. My main question is, is the TTi really that much better for 20, 30, or 40 dollars more (bits and all included depending where you look) than the AL???? I've only held and used the wave and surge in person and was moderately pleased with both but have no idea what to expect from either of these. Is there anything that really sets the Charge TTi apart from the AL?

There is no need to settle. Although the AL is serviceable, I paid more for my Charge TTi and don't regret it. The superior blade, gut hook and hand comfort were well worth it to me (although I'm not too nuts about the crimper). But I think I would have paid more, if necessary, looking at it as a seldom-made purchase.

My feeling is if you are willing to pay $60 or so for a multitool, half again that should be a small consideration for something you will be using for years, maybe decades. The amount of extra money involved, looked at from that perspective, is trivial, less than dinner and a movie.

Of course, if you expect to buy dozens of these things, as some do, that would be a different story. In my case, unless the TTi gets lost or stolen, I'm done shopping.

GO TTI! I have over fifteen Charge tools and the TTi is the best of the bunch. The Al scales are very weird. The feeling of them is like a chalkboard. The Ti handles on the other hand are superior in every aspect. They provide more grip and they don't dent/scratch. The Al scales can dent if you drop it right.. :)
