One of "my" employees was robbed last night. The thief or thieves got away with some jewelry, a .357 revolver, lots of Christmas presents, THE CHRISTMAS TREE, DVD player, TV's, VCR's, stereo, outdoor lights, tools, some other items, a sandwich, and a beer.

____ is a former SEAL and all around good guy. His wife, kids, and grandkids presents were under the tree already. It broke my heart to see him stand in my office today and cry out of anger and confusion.

To help the family out, I am selling 2 of my knives. The money will go into a fund that will be given to him anonymously on the 15th.

Smith & Wesson model 1260 Auto - Plain edge

Spyderco Renegade - Plain edge

The renegade is a sweet knife. Looks like Spyderco's answer to the AFCK. Both knives are NIB.

Chances are $1.00 each per knife. You may buy chances for one or both.

I hate when this happens. Each year I read about some family that has had everything stolen. One family had everything stolen ...even the turkey defrosting in the 'fridge. How low down can you be!!
That is quite a blow but i hope his friends and community ralley around and help his family out.
Joel, thanks for doing what you can for someone in need.

Can you post an address ?

I'd rather just stuff a coupla bucks in an envelope than go through the trouble of opening an online account.

Joel IV .... you may have a better chance of just selling them outright in the Knives For Sale Trade Forum here. Or how about an Auction Forum? Just a tip in case you haven't already considered that!

That is a shame when someone's personal belongings are violated! I hope everything works out for that family!

Ok. We gave ____ the money last night. He cried again and the rest of us joined him.

Corporate kicked in $300.00 on top of what everyone else had tossed in the pot. Seems like a good company to work for so far. Family oriented.

Anyway.....

I gave what I thought the knives would sell for but only a few people have sent money so far. If no one else enters the drawing soon, I am just going to return everyone's money and put them up for sale or auction outright.

Thank you to those who entered so far.

Please don't return my $. I hope it helps your friend recove some of his material loss, if not his sense of faith in people.

BTW, you are a better manager than most I've worked for. Best to all.
