I recently found a fixed blade that I got as payment for services over 4 years ago after I cleaned it up a bit and realized it was a Charles A. West knife made in Centralia Illinois does anyone have any details on if he's still around? Or alive? Or accessible I would like to discuss the knife with him and what it originally sold for if anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it.

Why don't you just Google him. I did, and his name came right up. I sent you a message with his contact info from Knives 2015.
 
Can you a pic of the entire knife too? Nice one, just curious to see it overall. Good luck on the search.
 
I have a Charles West Knife my dad got at a knife show the in St. Louis area back in the late 90's. If I can find it I'll post a picture of it. But I don't know anything about him other than I think he switched to making bag pipes maybe?
