I recently found a knife that I can't decide what to do with. It's a Charles Ochs damascus dagger made as one of his submission pieces for master bladesmith. I don't normally like to run "what's it worth" posts, but here I'm genuinely stumped as to what a knife like this is valued at, what kind of history it has, if it's the kind of piece I should try to return to the man himself or hold onto as a piece of knife collector history. I really only know Charles Ochs for the Black Knife design and any more info would be appreciated.

I could be way off base but I’ve seen others that have been submitted for mastersmith run from $800 to $1600. I imagine it would be worth quite a bit more if this is a highly sought after maker.
