Here is my Charlie May Lil' Big woods. Green dyed camel bone scales, mosaic pins, D2 steel. MTF3 made an awesome lanyard for it which, I have not put on yet. The lanyard matches the scales and looks awesome (hate to bloody up that lanyard). Thanks again for sending the lanyard on MTF3!

I have to tell you, it really fits your hand well, and because of the handle design it ain't goin nowhere. It feels glued to your paw without the handle feeling too large. Loving it.

That is a fantastic knife!! I LOVE Charlie May's knives!! That is a beautiful knife!! Congrats!!

My buddy Vance and I were passing by on our way to Meridian with our wives. We had to make a stop in Strong, MS and Charlie's house. (When you turn off the paved road)

Naturally we were talking knives and what Charlie was up to lately. His latest creations and deer kills. I had with me a sack of braided lanyards which I had made to fit the lanyard hole on his knives. I have been trying to come up with something to go with the new FireMaker model.

Charlie came up with some new ones he had finished. I have a Big Woods and ordered it immediately after I held the first one he made for himself. He let us see this new Lil' Big Woods and I fell in love with it. That is a nice knife and the bone is beautiful. We had the lanyards scattered out and I saw one that matched the bone. I told Charlie to send it to you since you had gotten such a nice piece.

The best part is that my dear sweet wife ordered me a bird & trout.

You got a real nice knife, I know because I held it. Congrats.
I am expecting another Charles May knife soon myself.
Our wives had to drag us out of his shop so we wouldn't be late for our event.

This is truly a great knife. I also had the chance to hold this knife the day you bought it. Charlie was telling me its sold but you need to see this knife. The dyed camel bone is even better in person.
MTF3 is making some great lanyards. He has had several designs over the years and they are always extremly useful and well made. If he ever starts making them to sell grab one you will like it.
Charlie's stuff is better each time I see it. I like MTF3 big woods but liked the little big woods even better. It screamed to be used.
I prefer the Bladie Mae, OSK-1 but thats why Charlie makes several. I also have a Firemaker on order.
Enjoy your Little Big Woods.
Vance

I have 2 knives on order with Charlie myself.
I am currently carrying a Fireant. It goes with me everywhere!!

T.K.C. - I have a fireant on order with the same scales in S30V. I also plan on it being a regular carry knife. Charlie has some great knife designs, and is a pleasure to deal with.

sweet looking blade
I've had my eye on a BigHand and Lil'Friend for quite some time now *drool*

The Big Hand is a nice piece and lends itself to nice Desert Ironwood scales. Charlie has used his Lil' Friend this year for his own skinning chores.

Charlie puts a lot of effort into handle material and matching it up to the design. He is making me a mini FireAnt without liners using matching Ironwood to my Big Woods. This is for a special project I have in mind. The Bird & Trout my wife ordered for me will have California Buckeye burl.

thanks for the May info MTF3 :) I try not to stare at his website too long (same goes for G. Ingram's) otherwise I'll be forced to order one :D:thumbup:

I have more photos to take, but is a couple fresh from Charlie's shop. Raw photo, the first look at our new knives.

Charlie had just sharpened them right before we arrived.

The top one is mine with S30V, natural micarta, black liners and stainless pins. The second one is also S30V with some cool dessert ironwood with white liners made for my buddy Vance. They are still on Charlie's bench, we have been waiting about a year for these since we first talked to Charlie about this design. I guess I should of wiped the blades down before I took this shot.

This is me watching Charlie cut the rings in the fire steel

Cutting the rings, very cool to watch.

I'll post more pics when I can.
